Dr. Nancy McGruder

Dr. Nancy McGruder brings over 15 years of experience across executive coaching, higher education, and nonprofit leadership. With a focus on creating tangible, sustainable change, Dr. McGruder has supported individuals and organizations in achieving their goals and developing effective leadership skills.

Her approach combines practical strategies and a deep understanding of brain-based leadership to support clients in setting and achieving meaningful objectives. Whether advising on organizational transformation or developing leadership cultures, Dr. McGruder helps clients navigate complex challenges with clear, actionable solutions.

In her academic role, Dr. McGruder serves as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Foster College and teaches at Dallas Baptist University. Her work with doctoral candidates in coaching and leadership ensures that future leaders are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills to create meaningful impact across industries.

Currently pursuing her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential through the International Coaching Federation and holding expertise in behavioral assessments, Dr. McGruder is committed to continuous growth. This dedication positions her as a leader in developing cutting-edge leadership practices and guiding others toward professional success.

In 2021, Dr. McGruder founded Build Your Board of Directors (BYBOD), a nonprofit that is changing the game for women of color. BYBOD provides mentorship, community, and essential networks needed to build personal advisory boards, empowering women to lead with confidence and purpose. Under Dr. McGruder’s leadership, BYBOD is inspiring a new wave of women leaders ready to rise to the top.
